Jade's Tintypes & other Antique Photographs


Here are tintypes from Illinois. These tintypes are either known to be originally from this area, or that is simply where they were bought from on eBay. Exact locations, if known, will be listed in the description.

Won on Ebay from Illinois. Looks to be a young girl, judging from the hair but in all possibility could be a boy, too. Her left arm looks to be in an uncomfortable position.Won on Ebay from Illinois. These are two children and are wearing obvious Civil War-era clothing. Tinted pink cheeks.

Although very beat up, this picture shows a rather well-to-do lady with her hair in an interesting style, a beautiful dress and an interesting necklace, not to mention the large bow around her neck. This seems to be about 1860s??

Won on Ebay from Illinois. Puffy sleeves are about 1890-1910 or maybe even 1920?? On the back is written "Rosa Yando." Thanks to Cynthia of ChicagoGenealogy, she discovered a Rosa Yando living in Will Co., Illinois in 1900, aged 19 years.
Won on Ebay from Illinois. Looks like a real setting, or maybe a different sort of studio than usual. Could be from the 1870s or 1880s??Won on eBay. Not sure what he's holding in his hand but it looks like its the head of a walking stick of some sort.
